Shufflesome was born in a moonlit frenzy. A musical soul, wobbling in space, ordered me to wear iPod shuffle as toy and tribute.

On a night in April 2005, the moon stood bright in her nightgown. The air was fragrant with her charm as she reflected the sun's light faithfully. As usual, the moon frolicked in the sun's full gamut with a pale face. She is a color freak — a shy one. Her force gently sways the elements on Earth. Her pull gently probes our rules, and some of us are prone to fall for her.

I fell for her. I found her shape in a click-wheeled device and obliged to carry it as a symbol of her might to inspire. We trust the music to make our thoughts colorful. I trust the moon to reach beyond our imagination and pull forth the sounds and images that shape us next.

To tease the musical soul, I left town to hunt and capture visuals. My finds invited your scrutiny, prayers and poems. Your money became my money. Together we engaged in moonlit cocketry.

The iPod shuffle has served its purpose. My task here unwinds. I let it go like the string of a balloon that slips from the hand of a child. It is now up to us to keep invigorating, to keep plucking energy from the shapes wobbling in our skies. — March 2010
